Accounts Preparation
& Statutory Audits
Like most qualified
firms of Chartered Accountants the backbone of our practice
is the preparation of accounts and, where appropriate, the
completion of statutory audits. Preparing formal accounts
for the Inland Revenue and Companies House is considered by
many to be burdensome. Although to some extent this may be
true, at Perrys we do try to be as constructive and helpful
as possible.
For smaller clients,
where management accounts are either not prepared or adjustments
are needed to the internal figures, it is important to obtain
accurate figures as early as possible after the business year
end. At Perrys we have the resources to meet clients deadlines
and actively encourage the very speedy preparation of accounts.
When this work has been finished the consultant will then
discuss these accounts with the client explaining the significance
of the figures and trends. In many instances they will be
able to advise on how to improve the level of profitability
either by enhancing gross profit or controlling overheads.
When we undertake this process a lot of effort is put into
ensuring that all tax planning opportunities are taken advantage
of.
Perrys are a firm of Registered Auditors.
We are regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England and Wales. As such we are regulated to undertake
statutory audits of all sizes. In some instances clients ask
for audits to be undertaken even when there is no regulatory
demand for them. There can in certain situations be advantages
in having an independent audit on the accounts to ensure accuracy
and for other specific purposes. In some situations it may
be appropriate to separately agree a partial audit in areas
that are considered to be at risk.
Because of its specialised nature, audit
work in connection with Solicitors Accountants Reports, Charity
Audits and Pension Fund Audits, are each supervised by specialist
partners within the practice.
