The Team at Perrys Accountants in Tunbridge Wells

Simon Hayden
I joined the firm in 2012 as senior manager in Tunbridge Wells. Qualifying with the ACCA in 2004, having trained with another firm in the Tunbridge Wells area I have over 10 years experience dealing with owner managed businesses.
From Tonbridge and having gone to local schools, I now live a stone’s throw from the Tunbridge Wells office. I’m an avid Liverpool fan and follow most sports. I particularly enjoy playing golf and running and have completed a number of half marathons.

Estelle Hardwick
Hi, I’m Estelle Hardwick and I have been a manager at the Tunbridge Wells branch of Perrys for over 5 years now.
I am an ex-South African and arrived in the UK in 2004 and am proud to call England my home now. I studied accounting in South Africa after school and was able to make the transition to UK accounting and tax laws after moving here. I have strong family values and my two teenage daughters keep me on my toes. I enjoy reading and zumba and playing netball and I play in a league team with a few of my Perrys colleagues.

Craig Harman
I started work at Perrys in September 2007 after successfully completing my A levels. My primary role within the workplace is the preparation of accounts and audits. During my time at Perrys I have been working towards the ACCA qualification which I have recently completed. Outside of work I enjoy playing a range of sports but mainly football.

Nigel Dyer
I have worked at our Tunbridge Wells office since its launch in 1999. I have lived in the area all of my life, with the notable exception of 1978-81, resulting in my graduation from Loughborough University of Technology. Whilst at Loughborough, I lodged at the same campus building and at the same time as Seb Coe and listened to theories in the physics department of impending environmental global warming. I believe both have proved to have a very big impact on our lives today and will prove to have a bigger impact in the future.
Outside of the workplace in my capacity as Financial Controller, I enjoy supporting local venues including Longmead Stadium (Tonbridge), Medway Little Theatre, Dartford Folk Club etc.

Karen Hurn
Hello, I have been at Perrys now for 12 years, fulfilling the role of part-time Credit Control Manager. Previously I spent 13 years in banking during which time I passed my ACIB exams. And then 6 years as a Practice Manager for a GP surgery.
I am married with a teenage son and outside work I enjoy pilates, netball, holidays and socialising with friends.

Emma Palmer
I started working for the company in 2006 as the partnership PA, so deal with all the internal workings of the company. I previously studied for my AAT qualification quite a few years ago but now concentrate on the internal admin side of the accountancy company. I enjoy taking part in different events and took part in the 3 Peaks challenge raising money for the Perrys charity a few years ago. I also took part in the Sevenoaks triathlon. I have recently undertaken a massage course in my spare time and enjoy playing on the Perrys netball team regularly. I also like to play badminton and go running in my spare time.

Jennifer Partridge
Hi, I’m Jenny and I work as a trainee accountant at Perrys, I joined the team in September 2008 after passing my A Levels earlier that year, and I am currently studying and working towards my ACCA qualification. I enjoy working at Perrys due the relaxed but professional atmosphere.

Bruce Palmer
Having spent the first 19 years of my working life in the Army, I retired at the rank of Major and joined the IT department of Markel International Insurance Company in London. I spent the next 19 years working there before joining Perrys in March 2012.
Outside work I enjoy DIY projects, walking, swimming and ten-pin bowling.

Caroline Hoare
Hi, my name is Caroline and I am the secretary based at our Tunbridge Wells office. After leaving school I started my secretarial career as an office junior for an estate agents, and through working hard, on the job experience and a few changes along the way, I finally joined Perrys in February 2007.
Along with the usual typing of letters, answering the phones and organising the partner/managers in the office, I also get involved with various Perrys events, for example the golf days, charity sponsored events, marketing events and of course the all important Christmas party!
Outside of work I play netball with three colleagues. I enjoy running, cycling, and chilling out at home watching movies. I am also a keen baker and I am renowned for my sponges within the office.

The office is run by Senior Manager Simon Hayden who acts for a wide variety of clients hailing from all sectors and of all sizes. Simon is supported by a friendly and enthusiastic team including Estelle Hardwick as manager who helps with the day to day running of the branch. Estelle is also supported by Craig Harman and Jenny Partridge. Caroline Hoare is the secretary, who deals with keeping the office organised and helps to plan events within the practice. Together with Simon, their aim is to minimise your tax liabilities and to provide you with first-rate proactive advice on a consistent basis.
The Tunbridge Wells office is also the head office which is supported by Nigel Dyer as Financial Controller, Karen Hurn as Credit Control Manager and Emma Palmer as the Partnership PA.
As long established accountants in Tunbridge Wells, we attract many business and private clients from the surrounding towns. Our client base is very diverse and this is something that we relish!
We work with businesses hailing from numerous sectors; retail, service, consumer, business to business. The same is also true of the size of each client’s business. On any one day we can be working with anything from a limited company in its first year of trading to an established brand of many years standing turning over £ millions. What unites each one of our clients is that they enjoy receiving a 5 star service from our team, and we in turn are delighted to provide it.
No matter what you do or how big you are, we believe that if you’re looking for an accountancy team with immense experience, both at a branch level and as part of a trusted and established brand, then it’s time is to talk to each other.
Whether you’re looking to move from your existing accountant or this is the first time you’ve considered using the services of an accountant why not book a complimentary meeting?
This provides an opportunity to have answered those questions that you have been storing up and to also receive a wealth of detailed advice bespoke to your business and your situation. At this meeting, we’ll look at how we can potentially save you money – not simply by reducing your tax burden now but by reviewing any capital gains and inheritance tax implications in the future. We will provide you with a fixed fee quotation in which we itemise the cost of our services.
There is also the option of benefiting from additional tax advice and any other services discussed at an agreed hourly rate. If you are interested in discussing your corporate finance needs then Steve Hale is most definitely your man. Any time spent in Steve’s company will be time spent well.
We are a friendly approachable team here at Tunbridge Wells, boasting 16 staff in all, working with clients across all industry sectors, both small and large.
